Teacher Jonathan is a versatile performer of Classical, Rock, Pop, and Jazz.  He has also had his fair share of performances through music outreach programs, chamber music and solo recitals funded by both private sector and the state. He has been featured in a series of shows for the National Arts Month Festival by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).

Teacher Jonathan designed the programs of Animaguitara as an effort to redefine music education. For several years now, Jonathan Gonzales has maintained linkages with prestigious institutions such as the Ateneo Grade School and the St. Paul Pasig GIFT Program.

Since 2003, “Teacher Jonathan” has been giving quality one-on-one instruction to kids, teens, young adults, and the young at heart. Guitar with a soul, guitar for the soul — this was and continues to be the underlying concept behind “Animaguitara”.

The creative initiative started with one guitar student, but that was only the beginning.

The Animaguitara Experience

Students of Animaguitara enjoy the benefits of constant “guitar-speak” with their teacher. Each session is a productive learning experience. Teacher Jonathan also gives expert advice on the right instrument and music gear. They get to know the history of guitar greats and music styles as they gain a full grasp of how music works through various approaches on the instrument. Young people learn to have a more sensitive ear to hear tone, timbre, and nuances created by various music gear. Music sensibilities and appreciation increase as they grow with us.
