About The Woodshed Series
This branded workshop series started when Animaguitara celebrated its tenth year in the music industry in the summer of 2013. Since 2003, Jonathan Gonzales has been providing quality music enrichment programs for people from all walks of life. We have grown so much and have since been quite active in arts and culture exchanges along with our allied artists.

Jazz Woodshed Participants

The first of the Woodshed Series was called “The Jazz Woodshed: An Intensive Introductory Workshop on Jazz Guitar”. This was hosted by the Arts Department of The University of Asia and the Pacific. The institution had the good heart to subsidize the workshop so that children of employees, their friends, and music enthusiasts who do not have enough means can nurture their craft without being intimidated by the usual huge costs of formal training. We are happy that there are institutions like UA&P who support independent artists. We share their commitment to excellence.

Students from the Basic Guitar Workshop we held way back in 2011 attended the workshop. Other attendees include a student who was part of the Basic Guitar Workshop in 2010 (not in photos), another teen (not in photos), and adults who have already been playing in gigs around the Metro. This blended learning environment is proof that learning an instrument has no age limit.
